Our senior team is made up predominantly of former APS, State Government and ACT Government Senior Executive Officers, ex Senior Partners and Principal Consultants of other consultancy firms and previous senior managers of private sector companies. The team has accumulated a wealth of practical experience, an excellent understanding of machinery of government, government policies and the commercial business environment.
Michael Hobday - Managing Director
Michael has over 25 years of management experience as CEO for a number of companies and as a senior government official in the Federal and Qld State Governments. Michael's experience centres on leadership, service delivery and change management in large multi-disciplined organisations delivering services throughout Australia. He has specific experience in the transport, health and employment sectors and has lead national reform in public sector outsourcing activities and organisational performance.
Robert Glynn - General Manager, Consulting
Robert has over 25 years experience as a senior executive, primarily in the health care sector, in a range of companies within Australia and overseas. A significant portion of this time was with Ramsay Health Care, Australia’s largest provider of hospital services.
In addition to his Ramsay experience Robert has acted as an industry expert advisor for a range of mergers and acquisitions, including the Affinity acquisition of the hospital division of Mayne. Robert was also Managing Director of United Health Care, a Middle East based company located in Abu Dhabi with facilities and holdings in Dubai, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi. Robert’s most recent venture was to establish and manage a startup company which is acquiring day hospitals with intent to float in the near future.
Ken Moore - Executive Director
As the former CFO and a Deputy Secretary of Defence, Ken is a highly skilled professional management consultant with extensive high level Government experience. His finance background has placed him in high profile positions with the responsibility for the planning and management of budgets that exceeded $17 billion per annum. Ken's current role through MAXimusSolutions is to lead the management team at Rhodium, an asset leasing company owned by the ACT Government.
Chris Casey - General Manager, Business Development and Marketing
Chris has over 25 years experience in senior management roles in both the public and private sectors. He has a strong business focus and specialises in leading large projects requiring a mix of Information Technology, business and strategic planning expertise. Chris has managed the planning, implementation and evaluation of financial and human resource management information systems and has advised on strategy and technical planning for major systems roll-outs in large government departments and private sector clients.
Oliver Giles
Oliver has over 10 years experience in managing Government and Private Sector business improvement projects, as well as providing financial management and quality assurance services. His skills include researching and writing effectiveness reviews, identifying efficiency savings, developing detailed rationale for proposed improvements and managing sensitive and high profile implementation projects. He has significant experience in proposing policy and process improvements, effective recruitment and training of staff, budget development and allocation, and producing month and year end financial reports.
Brian Quirke
Brian commenced with MAXimusSolutions after 5 years as the Chief Financial Officer for ACTION where he was responsible for the total accounting function for the Authority. Prior to this he was a self employed consultant providing services to a range of private and public sector clients. These services included the establishment and implementation of costing and pricing models and profit improvement programs including the financial evaluation of new projects and technologies.
Greg Dennis
Greg has 20 years experience in the Australian Public Service, statutory authorities and private sector employment. He possesses highly developed accounting skills that include financial analysis reporting and planning, preparation of financial statements, financial modelling and resource management. Greg also has a high level of project management skills that include the development of a research project tracking system and the design and implementation of an interactive budgeting and financial system.
Andrew Fleming
Andrew Fleming is a dynamic business executive with a successful global track record and proven leadership capabilities. He has initiated corporate transformations and profit turnarounds, reorganised management and corporate structures, led business buyouts, acquisitions and downsizings, and developed and implemented major IT projects. Andrew possesses a unique blend of operational experience and solid financial credentials gained in both the public and private sectors in Australia and overseas.
Phillip Liddicoat
Phillip worked for 35 years at the Department of Defence in project and program management positions. A major part of his Defence experience was at the SES level where he occupied high level positions both in Australia and the United States (Washington). Phillip's high level finance and corporate services knowledge and expertise were extensively utilised at the Australian Institution of Engineers Australia, a large not for profit organisation, where he was the CFO/Director Corporate Services for 5 years until 2006.
Peter Byrne
Peter has extensive senior project management experience and has led a number of high level projects at Centrelink. His latest assignments include Department of Defence and ACT Department of Urban Services and he possesses an understanding of high level business requirements and the ability to transfer these into workable solutions. Peter's expertise lies in the areas of project identification, business case preparation, project establishment, planning and monitoring, staff management and acquisition, costing of projects, and organizational restructure and jobsizing.
Martin Kos
Martin is a senior IT practitioner with over 25 years IT experience in one of Australia's largest IT operations - Centrelink and the Department of Social Security. He has extensive experience in the areas of systems analysis, IT procurement, business applications development and project management. He is a qualified project manager currently working on assignments at the Department of Defence and Comsuper and is a full member of the Australian Institute of Project Management.
Sue Tully
Sue joined the MAXimusSolutions team and has been contracted to Rhodium in the role of Executive Officer. In this role her key responsibilities include providing effective support to the CEO, coordination of the payroll and human resource activities, and facilitating the efficient operation of all office management activities such as dealing with providers and managing any Occupational Health and Safety and First Aid issues. Sue has extensive experience working in the Health industry. She has a Registered Nurse background having worked in NSW and ACT Health in both clinical and Management roles.
Grahame Clarke
Grahame is an experienced computer professional. He initially worked as an assembler and application programmer on various mainframe systems, before moving to the National Capital Development Commission (NCDC) where he was responsible for the installation of their first computer as well as management of their construction project planning and control cell.
Since then Grahame has worked mainly as an IT manager in both mainframe and PC areas in the Commonwealth Government, including the Departments of Health and Ageing, the Australian Taxation Office and the Department of Veterans' Affairs. Grahame joined the MAXimusSolutions team in 2008 and has been contracted to Rhodium in the role of Assistant Business Systems Manager.
Ben Howard
Ben has several years experience in Government and Private Sector, where he has provided consultancy services to a range of clients including Defence Materiel Organisation, the Department of Defence and the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO). Ben specialises in providing strategic management, procurement, financial management and project management consultancy services to our clients.
