Pre-employment Screening

Functional Capacity Evaluations

A comprehensive assessment to determine physical abilities and limitations in relation to work capacity and safe duties, and rehabilitation needs. Our Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Physiotherapists are available to provide expert opinion and assessments suitable for medico-legal proceedings. Specifically our services include: Expert witnesses; Assessment of residual function, rehabilitation potential and employability; Home visits and workplace evaluations; Assessments for family court relating to special maintenance needs; and Vocational assessments.

Occupational Therapy Consultation and Treatment

Assessment of functional capacity and recommendations regarding abilities and limitations, need for aids, equipment, workplace assessment, home modifications, domestic or self care assistance and rehabilitation. Consultations may also address strategies to address pain management and manual handling techniques.

Work Site Assessments/ Return to Work Plans/ Suitable Duties Plans

An assessment of the work environment to provide advice on suitable duties, techniques, behaviours, training or equipment needs and return to work plans

Ergonomic Assessments

Ergonomic assessments are used to prevent unsafe working conditions and poor working postures and habits from becoming expensive workers compensation claims or resulting in lost productivity. You will receive simple and cost effective recommendations that you can implement immediately.

Manual Handling Training

Manual Handling training decreases the risk of injury associated with manual tasks. The client will receive a tailored program aimed at developing competencies in safe lifting, carrying and other manual tasks.

Psychometric Testing

Our team of psychologists have extensive experience in the administration and interpretation of a range of psychometric tests which can be used for: Selection of staff; Clinical assessment; Development/ succession planning; and career or personal development.

MAXimusSolutions is licensed to perform integrity testing. This style of testing is a recent development which has begun to take a more prominent role in recruitment and selection processes. Integrity testing measures attitudes and behaviours which are likely to influence honesty, performance, conscientiousness and social behaviour.

Clinical Assessments

Our qualified psychologists are able to provide a clinical assessment service. This service usually consists of a number of assessment sessions, followed by the administration of appropriate psychometric testing to determine the nature and extent of the clients presenting problem(s) and to assist in intervention planning.

Career Transition and Recruitment Counselling

We offer a comprehensive and complete range of short and long term career transition and recruitment counselling programs. These can be customised to meet organisational needs however our standard program includes: An initial individual assessment; a 5-day workshop which provides the participants the opportunity to identify job options and career paths, gain application and interview skills and develop self promotion skills; a follow up interview; ongoing support from our consultants and use of office facilities.

Vocational Assessments

Individual vocational assessments are ideal for employees who are unsure of the work they are suited for; or for employees who have sustained an injury and require guidance on appropriate future career options. Vocational Assessments take into account a person's: Personality; Intellectual capabilities; Vocational interests; Skills and abilities; and Local labour market considerations.

On completion you will receive a comprehensive report that outlines the testing results in plain English, including suitable job options and relevant local labour market opportunities that match the person's vocational interests and aptitudes.

Conflict and Dispute Resolution

Our trained staff will work with you to determine the most appropriate response to your workplace issue. Key services include:

  • Facilitation - A form of mediation which is generally used when the dispute/ conflict is multi-party/ multi-issue.
  • Mediation - A confidential and voluntary process in which two people in disagreement come together with an independent and neutral third party who help them make informal and clear decisions on how to resolve disagreements. The goal of mediation is to help people in dispute reach an agreement that is mutually satisfactory.
  • Investigation Services - Generally used when the facts of the matter are in dispute; in grievance processes or disciplinary matters.
