MAXIMUS SIGNS $315 MILLION CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION -
New Award Renews Work Performed under Two Prior Contracts
MAXIMUS (NYSE:MMS), a leading provider of government services, announced today that it has signed the previously announced Eligibility Support Services contract with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
The three-year base contract is valued at $315.3 million with an additional two option years. The award consolidates work MAXIMUS performed under two previous contracts: Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and Eligibility Support Services. MAXIMUS will continue to provide support services for many of the state's programs including Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Children's Health Insurance and others.
In delivering these services, MAXIMUS operates statebased call centers assisting Texans in accessing these important health and human services programs. Under a separate contract, the Company provides managed care enrollment broker services for the state's Medicaid population. "We are excited to continue to administer these vital programs for the people of Texas under this combined contract," commented MAXIMUS CEO Richard Montoni.
"MAXIMUS has partnered with Texas HHSC for more than ten years, and we are proud of our track record of continuous program improvements and efficiencies. We have helped the state improve access by implementing technological enhancements, such as auto-linked documents, and establishing multi-channel access with self-service options, including a user-friendly CHIP Website to allow families to renew their coverage easily and quickly.
Our more than 1,500 Texas-based employees are proud to continue providing high quality customer services to their fellow Texans."
