POSITION: PERFORMANCE ANALYST/TUNER

Start Date: Immediate

Duration/end date: initial 3 months contract with possibility of extension

Job Description/Duties:

• Performance investigation of distributed applications and recommending tuning options.
• Performance investigation of network and infrastructure and recommending tuning options.
• Reporting of investigation findings and recommendations of tuning.

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Extensive knowledge of application tuning in particular Java applications
• Solid scripting skills (perl, sh/bash, etc);
• Extensive knowledge of 3 tiered architecture in particular J2EE applications
• Extensive knowledge of networking
• Extensive knowledge of data base administration
• Strong knowledge of middleware including Websphere MQ, Websphere Message Broker and Websphere Application Server or equivalent

Other Requirements:

Australian Citizenship

Clearances: Current or able to obtain

Also required full name as on passport/birth certificate, date of birth, town, state and country of birth and details of two referees
