Case Study 1 - Financial Review


MAXimusSolutions Australia was commissioned to undertake a review and analyse the business processes of a major Federal Government Department. This was achieved by:

  • Identifying deficiencies in processes which may have been compromising compliance with Commonwealth requirements and/or compromising financial reporting practices;
  • Developing (but not implementing) a remediation program including key targets, strategies, timeframes and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); and
  • Developing manuals which prescribe best practice procedures.

This Federal Government department has undertaken a significant amount of work in moving towards better practice financial reporting. This has included undertaking a detailed review of business processes, and making consistent progress towards resolving ANAO and Management Audit Branch(MAB) audit findings.
